On the one hand I know nothing about vacation bible school. Zip. Zero. Nada. I'm assuming its like camp but in a church setting. Not quite sure.
But it got me thinking as to why school would not be fun. School should be fun!!! Granted I am a proponent of learning the three R's but there is still plenty of time for cooking lessons and art museums and theatre and bowling and all the other fun things there are to do.
Why can't school be fun and educational at the same time?

You're right. That's exactly what vacation bible school is like. However, even when I was volunteering and teaching the older kids were apprehensive about learning. They just wanted to hang out with each other.
I've read all of your entries so far. I just started a blog here as well. The whole blogger.com system is so foreign to me, but I guess I'll get used to it.
I hope you don't mind me following you. It's nice to read about someone who has the same teaching interests as I do.
